Upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 10 is very easy. In this tutorial, I'm using offline DvD iso file that I got from sharing file site Torrent. The iso file is clean and working very well. So with this file I did in-place upgrading. The upgrading went for about 90 minutes from opening the iso until reaching windows 10 desktop.
By doing so-called in-place upgrading, upgrading directly from windows 10, all files and programs that I have did remain, nothing was lost, because in this situation, what I'm doing is just changing the OS, so all files and programs still remain as long as the new OS, Windows 10, supports the programs. As I can show you in this video below, almost all programs work well and files remain the same.
The process can be seen all from the video above. Basically, it took 1 day for me to try installing the new os because some programs that I have causing BlueScreen ''BSOD'' that stopped the installation and reverted to windows 7. That happened because some software's' drivers did not support the new Windows 10 yet. Besides, the BSOD also happened because of failing in checking system files causing the installation stopped and reverted back to windows 7 again.
So, bear in mind that if you want to upgrade directly from windows 7/8, better uninstall the antivirus and softwares that have drivers like to run on the background which may cause conflict with the win 10 drivers.
BSod during installing with kernel security check failure can be cured by sfc /scannow; if it persists: chkdsk /r, or by checking RAM. Other Bsod's may be caused by third party softwares.
Update the os after installing to get up-to-date drivers that suite to Windows 10.

Clean install must be better but me can't bear to install many programs again. Upgrading is preferable, for me, though.
